About Blairmore Pier

Originally built in 1855 for steamers and drovers, the pier was painstakingly renovated and reopened in 2005, after being closed and derelict for 30 years. Today, it is enjoyed by many for fishing, picnics, berthing for passing boats, weddings, proposals and for boarding PS Waverley on her summer schedule.

Also rescued from a state of dereliction in 2005, The Old Ticket Office is now a luxury one-bedroom self-catering cottage, offering an unrivalled loch-side location. Click here for booking information.

The Heritage Bothy

Located on the hammerhead end of Blairmore Pier, the heritage bothy tells the story of the pier, the local area and local wildlife. It’s also doubled up as a private space for weddings or secluded picnics!

Berthing

The pier is available for berthing use, from small to large vessels, whether for a short stop or an overnight stay. We welcome donations by way of berthing fees to help maintain the pier and keep it operational.

Make a donation

We welcome donations from users, and admirers, of this beautiful pier towards its maintenance and upkeep. It costs approximately £2,000 per year to keep the pier open for public use, or more when it’s subjected to significant storm damage.

Your donation will help us keep the pier open, and in good condition, for the enjoyment of visitors and the local community.
